HÄFNER Gewichte stands for high-quality test weights, weight sets, mass standards, calibration and customer-specific weight solutions for laboratories, industry, quality assurance and metrology. The HÄFNER quality management system was introduced back in 1998 and is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

Our calibration laboratory MASSCAL is the DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory for mass of Häfner Gewichte GmbH. It meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and is accredited by the German Accreditation Body DAkkS.

DAkkS-accredited calibration certificates confirm metrological traceability to national standards and to the International System of Units (SI). International agreements of the accreditation organizations EA, ILAC and IAF support the mutual recognition of accredited calibration services.

Through active participation in the DKD technical committee “Mass” and close professional exchange with PTB, HÄFNER remains closely connected to the current state of science and technology in mass metrology.

Products - Individual weights and weight sets

The product range includes individual weights, weight sets, mass standards, fine weights, precision weights and commercial weights in various accuracy classes, designs, materials and surface finishes.

• Nominal values: from 0.1 mg to 5,000 kg
• Further units: from 0.0001 oz to 10,000 lb and from 0.0001 N to 10,000 N
• OIML R111: E0 mass standards as well as weights of classes E1, E2, F1, F2, M1, M2 and M3
• ASTM E617: Class 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7
• Designs: standard weights, special weights, special weight combinations and customer-specific solutions

Designs, Surface Finishes and Materials

Depending on the application, accuracy requirements and handling needs, we manufacture test weights and special weights in various designs and versions.

• Bauformen: Designs: sheet weights, wire weights, knob weights, grip weights, block weights, cylindrical weights, disc weights, hooks, eyelets, slotted weights, carriers, baskets and further versions
• Surface finishes: fine-turned, fine-milled, fine-ground, brushed, glass bead blasted, painted, powder-coated, polished, mirror-polished or zinc-plated
• Materials: aluminium, nickel silver, brass, grey cast iron, steel, stainless steel and special stainless steel

Accessories, Software and Service

In addition to test weights and weight sets, HÄFNER offers suitable solutions for storage, transport, handling, cleaning, calibration and test equipment management.

• Storage and transport: wooden, leather and plastic cases as well as service cases for individual weights and weight sets
• Handling and cleaning: tweezers, weight handles, brushes, gloves and cleaning cloths
• Control and monitoring instruments: permeability measuring instruments as well as room climate monitoring systems with temperature, humidity and air pressure sensors
• Software: SimplyCal® for balance calibration
• Service: repair, cleaning, adjustment, calibration and recalibration of weights – also for third-party products

Calibration and Recalibration

Through MASSCAL, we calibrate and recalibrate test weights and weight sets with traceability to national standards. Depending on the requirements, DAkkS-accredited calibration certificates or factory calibrations are possible.
