Primary mass standards E0
E0 mass standards are used for the highest metrological requirements. Among other applications, they serve as national standards or for the realization of the national mass scale up to 50 kg.
In addition, E0 mass standards are used for the calibration and traceability of E1 mass standards to national standards. They are used in particular in national metrology institutes, highly specialized calibration laboratories and applications with very high requirements for measurement uncertainty and traceability.
- Realization of national mass scales up to 50 kg
- Use as a national standard
- Calibration and traceability of E1 mass standards
- High-precision comparison measurements in mass metrology
- Applications with very high requirements for measurement uncertainty and stability
Marking of E0 Mass Standards
For high-precision mass standards, marking is carried out with particular care. In accordance with the requirements of OIML R111-1:2004, weights of this accuracy level are not marked with their nominal value or with unit information.
For differentiation, weights of the same nominal value that occur more than once in weight sets can be marked with dots or stars. In addition, up to three customer-specific user markings, such as characters, letters or numbers, can be applied.
These user markings support the clear identification of the weights as test or measuring equipment and can be specified individually when ordering.
